デイナ・オレスタッドは、メディアアーティスト、キュレーター、そして教育者として、 ヴァージニア州のリッチモンドをベースに活動を行っている。自作の光センサ・マイク、旧式のVHSリモコン、自作コンタクトマイクとともに、ボーカリゼーションやファウンド・サウンド＆フィールドレコーディングをもちいて作品を制作。現在はタイムベースド・メディアの領域で教鞭をとっている。

Dana Ollestad is a multi-media artist, curator, and educator currently based in Richmond, Virginia, USA. He uses hand-built light sensitive microphones, antiquated VHS remote controls, hand-built contact microphones, vocalizations, found sounds, and field recordings in his works. He is currently a professor of time-based art.
